Arsenal is reportedly chasing the signature of 22-year-old Lille forward Jonathan David this summer.

The 22-year-old attacker has been in superb form for Lille since he joined from Belgian side Genk and has been able to establish himself as a key player regarding the Ligue 1 attacker, with his performance reported to have attracted interest from the Premier League, Serie A, and the Bundesliga.

The Mikel Arteta's sides want to bolster their attack ahead of the next season, having seen their striker Pierre Emerick Aubamenyang left the Emirates Stadium for the Camp Nou and Lacazette also likely to be a free agent in the summer.

According to the Sun, Arsenal is reportedly in chase of Jonathan David having been identified as a reinforcement for their attack.

The North London club could face stiff competition from Newcastle to sign the former Genk striker as they plan to be a title contender, following the present club owner purchase.

Borussia Dortmund is also known to be a good admirer of the Lille forward, who remains contracted to the club till 2025.

David has been able to score 12 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this season.
