Barcelona will kick off their Europa League campaign against Italian giant Napoli this evening. The Catalans will play in the UEFA Europa League for the first time since losing in the round of 16 to Celtic in the 2003/2004 season.

Despite their exit from the Champions League last season, Xavi will be looking to redeem his team with the Europa League trophy, which they must begin by defeating Napoli today.

The two teams last met in the round of 16 of the Champions League 2019/20 season. The first leg ended 1-1, but Barcelona demonstrated their superiority in the second leg, winning 3-1 at Camp Nou. However, both teams' have experienced changes since their last meeting, and Barcelona will have to give their all today to avoid defeat.

Barcelona Injury Update ahead of today's meeting

Barcelona are expected to be without eight of their key players for today's gane. They include, Ansu Fati, Clément Lenglet, Dani Alves, Ronald Araujo, Samuel Umtiti, Sergi Roberto, and Alejandro Balde. Meanwhile Memphis Depay is still doubtful.

My strongest lineup to face Napoli;

Goalkeeper

Ter Stegan is expected to remain in goal for this crucial game.

Defenders

With Araujo injured we are likely to see a defensive lineup of Dest, Pique, Eric, Alba.

Midfielders

The midfield trio of Pedri, Busquets, and De Jong has been stunning. The trio has revived the old Barcelona tiki-taka football, and I believe they will outclass Napoli today.

Attackers

In my opinion, Aubameyang should make his debut in this game, while struggling Ferran Torres sits on the bench. For a game like this, the Barcelona attack will require an experienced striker, and I believe he is the best man for the job.

Adama Traore has quickly established himself as one of Barcelona's most potent attackers, and I believe he should start against Napoli.

Gavi, who has been impressive lately, should join Aubameyang and Traore in a three-man attack.

Here is my lineup in a 4-3-3 formation for today's game;

What can you say about this lineup?
