In recent years, Barcelona have made several transfer blunders. The signings of Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann for enormous amounts of money have bombed spectacularly.
There have been reports that the Catalan giants also let go of a chance to sign Kylian Mbappe before he exploded into one of the best young forwards in the game.
Now another fresh report from journalist Francesc Aguilar is claiming that Barcelona had a great chance to sign current Manchester City star Bernardo Silva back in 2017, in a potential swap deal involving Arda Turan.
However, they turned down the opportunity and held on to the ex-Atletico Madrid ace instead as they sought to sell him to China.
Turan had signed for Barça in 2015 from Atletico Madrid but never lived up to the expectations. The 100-time capped former Turkish international failed to get going and soon became surplus to requirements.
