After the FIFA Club World Cup victory last Saturday, Chelsea will be clashing against Crystal Palace tomorrow at Stamford Bridge, as regards their Premier League fixtures for the 2021-2022 campaign. The Thomas Tuchel's men are expected to win the game, because they are literally unbeaten in February.
Edouard Mendy is expected to start tomorrow, because he started ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga against Palmeiras in the FIFA Club World Cup. Apparently, the Senegalese is able and capable of denying Crystal Palace attackers tomorrow, and can single-handedly give Chelsea a clean sheet.
As regards the formation of 3-4-3, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger will play as centre-backs, while César Azpilicueta continues as a right-wing-back and Malang Sarr replaces Marcos Alonso as a left-wing-back. The Eagles are kind of dangerous up front with the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke, but the Blues' back-five is enough to silence them.
Apparently, Mason Mount is unavailable tomorrow due to injury, and the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Romelu Lukaku, and Callum Hudson-Odoi need to rest. As a result, Timo Werner will drive from the left-wing, Christian Pulisic from the right-wing, and Kai Havertz will play as a false No.9. Of course, the German youngster always delivers from that position, so Chelsea are expected to score some goals tomorrow, even without Romelu Lukaku and the rest.
