Thiago Silva was once again on his best form in the Chelsea defense as the Blues comfortably defeated Lille in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 fixture on Tuesday night, making some big blocks and clearances to make sure the Blues won the game with a clean sheet at Stamford Bridge.

Having also help Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace with a clean sheet on the weekend, Thiago Silva retained his place in the center of the Chelsea defense against the Ligue 1 side in the Champions League last night, and he did not look tired throughout the game despite playing the full 90 minutes against Crystal Palace a few days back, a 2-hours football in the United Arab Emirates, where he helped Chelsea to win the Club World Cup two weeks ago.

At 37 years of age, the Brazilian legendary Center-back is still performing very well at the highest level of football both for club and country, and after during his recent interview with TNT Sport, the former PSG Captain revealed how he is living his dream at Chelsea, and how he is proud to play for the London club.

“I feel like I’m living a dream here at Chelsea. I wasn’t expecting something like that. The fans are always singing my name. It’s magic. It’s a dream”, Thiago Silva told TNT Sport.

“I’m really proud to play for Chelsea and their fans”.

Thiago Silva joined Chelsea as a free agent from PSG in 2020, and since then, the Brazilian center-back has added three big trophies(The UEFA Champions League, Super Cup, and most recently the Club World Cup) to his trophy cabinet, and won all the three trophies at the age of 37 is a very important achievement for him, as he had not won any of these trophies in his career before joining the Blues family in 2020.

Silva went round the pitch to greet the Chelsea fans after their Champions League win against Lille.

And with the Carabao cup final coming on Sunday, Silva would look to add another trophy to his name as a Chelsea player. He is indeed living his dream at Stamford Bridge, and he would always be happy with himself for joining the Blues family.
