Manchester United will have to offer at least £40m to secure the services of 20-year-old French and Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile this summer, according to reports.
The 20-year-old France international has been in great form for Monaco since he came through their academy youth setup and his performance has attracted interest from a series of clubs in the Premier League.
Manchester United is known to be a good admirer of the French youngster since the last summer transfer, of which they saw a £22m bid for the France Under-21 defender rejected.
Manchester United will be looking for defensive reinforcement having seen Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, and Phil Jones future being surrounded with uncertainties at Old Trafford.
Manchester United could face stiff competition from several other Premier League clubs like West United and Newcastle to sign the French defender, with Newcastle reported to have made an offer of £33m for the French U-21 during the January transfer window.
Benoit Badiashile, who is currently suffering from a hamstring injury has been restricted to just 45 minutes of playing time this season.
