According to The Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Ligue 1's Paris Saint-Germain, is the second contender to conduct negotiations with Manchester United about the position of head coach.
As of right now, the Red Devils are looking for a new permanent manager. Ajax's Erik ten Hag allegedly met with the club's board of directors last week.
The position has now been reported to have been discussed by Pochettino and football director John Murtough. Both of them now look to be strong contenders for the job.
Spain's Luis Enrique has already said that he would not be resigning from his post, and he will not be replaced. He intends to stay with La Roja's coaching staff through the World Cup.
Julen Lopetegui, the manager of La Liga side Sevilla, has reaffirmed that he intends to remain in charge of the club for the foreseeable future.
United's managerial position looks to be down to Ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino, although other clubs have been suggested as potential suitors for both men.
