The weight of entertainment falls on the international break when club football is on vacation. Under-19 European Championship qualifications have been taking place in the last week, but Italy's World Cup 2022 qualifying failure has dominated the headlines.

Spain and Denmark fought out a dramatic 3-3 draw in the Elite Round of qualifications. Barcelona supporters could recognize two of the players in the Spanish line-up.

Pablo Torre, the 18-year-old Racing Santander prospect set the tone for Barça's attack by starting on the right flank alongside Ilias Akhomach, a Barcelona B winger.

The pinnacle of Torre's performance came just before half-time, when he unleashed a stunning free-kick into the penalty area. David Navarro, a young Atletico Madrid center back, headed home the corner kick to tie the game at one.

Christian Rasmussen's 79th-minute penalty ensured that Spain were held to a 2-2 tie by Spain, who went on to add two more goals.

Unfortunately, this means that Spain will not be able to qualify for the U-19 Euros in Slovakia in July 2022 as both of their Elite Round games ended in draws.
