Raphinha, a Leeds United midfielder, is reportedly close to a deal with Barcelona. The Catalans are looking to bolster their roster this summer.

Barcelona

For the simple reason that after five years at the Camp Nou, Ousmane Dembele is most likely to depart the Blaugrana next summer.

Barcelona had also been linked with Ajax winger Antony Dos Santos, but the Catalans preferred Leeds's rival and have now ruled out Dos Santos's inclusion.

A report from SPORT claims that Barcelona's decision to sign him had nothing to do with his cost.

The two companies have a market value of around €40 million. To put it another way, it's all about sports.

Raphinha's Premier League experience makes him the superior choice. The Brazilian has a wealth of professional experience from playing in one of the world's top leagues.

Antony, on the other hand, has only appeared in a couple of UEFA Champions League matches in the Eredivisie. Barcelona is looking for players who can instantly fit into their system, and this is much below that standard.

Barça does not have the time to accommodate the Ajax player.

Raphinha has always come out on top when the two have faced up for a starting berth. Leeds' striker has beaten Antony, Gabriel Jesus, and Richarlison in the Brazilian national team's competition for the same position.

Raphinha is preferred by Barcelona mostly because of the team's preparation.
