In Chris Sutton's opinion, Crystal Palace fans would be "furious" that their shareholder Josh Harris is participating in one of the offers to acquire Chelsea.

Harris is a member of one of the four final shortlists for the Stamford Bridge takeover.

Sir Martin Broughton and Lord Coe, the leaders of a partnership supported by Palace shareholders Harris and David Blitzer, are one prospective investor to consider. In order to be part of a successful bid for Chelsea, the Palace couple may have to stand down from their responsibilities at Selhurst Park.

According to reports, Harris and Blitzer want to sell their Eagles stock.

BBC analyst Sutton predicts a backlash from Crystal Palace supporters for their little role in the takeover drama.

This is going to enrage Palace supporters to the core. They will see the owners who are focusing on another team and assume they aren't as concerned about our team as they should be. In their minds, it was always only a month away. Sutton predicted that Palace supporters would be outraged by the decision.

With this as a foundation, the new Chelsea management will be able to build on a lot of positive momentum.

It's clear that the sale of the club has generated a lot of interest since current owner Roman Abramovich announced he was stepping out after almost two decades.

To put it another way, the new owners of the club are taking advantage of the club's excellent facilities, top-notch academy, and winning squad under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.

The club as an investment has a lot to offer.

Next owners should care about what Chelsea fans desire and build on a period of dominance.
