Robert Lewandowski has promised information on his future is imminent – with Chelsea still reportedly keen on a summer transfer
There is no doubt in world football that Lewandowski is the best striker in the game right now and a man that has just broken all sorts of records since he joined Bayern Munich way back in 2014
Having smashed 48 goals in 40 appearances last term, he smashed that total this season by netting 50-goals for the Bundesliga giants while helping the club to their tenth consecutive League title
But his current deal expires in 2023 and the Bundesliga giants have not offered the player the contract that he desires, which has meant that the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona have been linked with a move’
It is no secret in the media that Thomas Tuchel is desperate to improve that Chelsea attack during the summer transfer window and is eyeing up a number of possible signings for the club – and Lewandowski is high up on the shopping list
The German side have made it clear he still has a contract to fulfil, but amid strengthening links, the forward has revealed that an update is imminent.
“I think the time will come soon to give more information about it,” Lewandowski told Sky Germany. “I’ll be able to say more about it soon.”
The forward expanded further to Eleven Sports, adding: “It depends on several factors. I think my situation is clear and there’s no point in talking about it. It’s hard to say if I will still play for Bayern next season.”
